Yunfan Liu

Biography

I am currently a postdoc research working with Prof. Qixiang Ye at the School of Electronic, Electrical and Communication Engineering, Univeristy of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).

I received my Ph.D. degree in Applied Computer Technology from UCAS in 2023, and my supervisor was Prof. Tieniu Tan. Before that, I received my M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering: Systems at University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 2017, and my B.Eng. degree in Electronic Engineerging from Tsinghua University in 2015. I had also worked as an algorithm developer at the Center for Research on Intelligent Perception and Computing, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from 2017 to 2019.

Research Interest

My research interests were in image synthesis and manipulation via generative models (e.g., GANs and Diffusion Models), especially facial attributes editing.

Recently, I found myself interested in exploring efficient ways of adapting large language models (LLMs) and foundation models of computer vision to downstream tasks in specific domains.
